Desktop Vibration Isolation System
CMS offer a choice of desktop vibration isolation solutions for use with small experiments and vibration-sensitive instruments.
The ISOPlate system is a passive vibration isolation system consisting of a top plate suspended on four rubber air mounts.
The free-standing passive isolation mounts can be placed on a floor or desktop to provide a quick and easy, temporary vibration isolation solution when a permanent system is not considered necessary.
The pneumatic isolators inflate using a standard foot pump and isolate without air consumption, meaning there is no need for a constant air supply.
Air suspension of the unit, is achieved by three valves, located on the front of the unit.
The pneumatic system comprises 4 inflated cushions, of which a pair have a coupled air reservoir and the remaining two cushions are independently inflated. This arrangement provides stable, three point dynamics to the system.
The portability and size of the ISOPlate is ideally suited to providing isolation for small scale experiments and demonstrations.
The breadboard (shown in the top image) is available separately and sits on four rubber pads.
The ISOPlate is available in three sizes:
- 300mm x 600mm x 90mm
- 600mm x 600mm x 90mm
- 900mm x 600mm x 90mm
